Tamil Nadu public service commission invite the eligible candidates for the post of Vocational Counsellor in medical education department included in the tamil nadu medical subordinate service and community officer in the tamil nadu urban habitat development board included in the Tamilnadu slum clearance board community development service.

Applicants should possess the following or its equivalent qualification
1. Vocational counsellor:
Must hold a post graduate in social work with medical and psychiatric social work as special subject
2.Community officer:
Must posses a master degree in social work with 2 year experience in relevant field.
Salary:
Vocational counsellor- Rs. 36,200- 1,33,100/-
Community officer-Rs. 35,600- 1,30,800
Scheme of Examination: Objective type ( CBT METHOD)
Total marks: 450
Paper-1
Subject paper: 300 marks( 200 question)
Paper-2
Part- A
Tamil eligibility test -150 marks( 100 question)
( Tamil eligibility minimum pass mark 60)
Note: PART A WILL NOT BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT FOR RANKING.
Part- B
General studies & Aptitude & mental ability test -150 marks( 100 question)
Selection procedure:
Selection will be made, based on the marks obtained by the applicants in the CBT examination and subject rule of reservation of appointments.

Chennai, madurai, coimbatore, salem, tiruchirapalli, thirunelaveli.
